Manager of Standard Station Dies At Sikes

O. Sweetland, 67 years of age, familiarly known as "Pop" died suddenly at his
home in Sikes on January 27, 12:30 a.m. from heart trouble.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Baptist Church with
the Rev. Lee, pastor, in charge.  Interment was in the Sikes Cemetery.

Mr. Sweetland was born in Binghampton, N. Y.  He resided in Alexandria three
years before going to Sikes, where he was manager of the Standard
Station for the past three years.

Surviving is the widow, and two daughters, Mrs. R. F. Myers of Winnfield and
Mrs. J. H. Tonge, Ottawa, Ill.
