M. Swope, 82 Andrew Miller Swope, aged 82 years, was killed on the L. & A. railway tracks between Georgetown and Winnfield Sunday sometime on Sunday morning between 11 and 12 o'clock. Mr. Swope made his home with his son, L. C. Swope, at Georgetown and it is stated that some time on Saturday the old gentleman wandered away from home and could not be located. Efforts were made to find him but to no avail and on Sunday morning the engineer on the L. & A. train saw an object lying on the track and before he could bring the train to a stop the wheels had crushed the body. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home of Mr. L. C. Swope in Georgetown, La., by the Methodist minister from Rochelle, La. Interment was made by Kramer Undertaking Company in Greenwood Memorial Park, Pineville.
