Mrs. V. Sanders Succumbs; Rites Held Tuesday

Viola Mae Sanders, 55, of Sikes, La., died Sunday, June 4, 1967, at 2 a.m. in
a Winnfield hospital, after a short illness.

She is survived by her husband, Virgil Sanders of Sikes; six brothers, Wayne
McCarty of Doyeslow, Pa., Floyd McCarty of Ringgold, G. C. McCarty and William
Cecil McCarty, both of Winnfield, Milo McCarty of Pollock, and Elzie McCarty
of Columbia; three sisters, Mrs. Lina Sanders and Mrs. Maurine Sanders, both
of Dodson, and Mrs. Vocie Sanders of Pollock.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Hurricane Grove Baptist
Church with Revs. Arlie Bratton and Edward Smith officiating.  Burial was in
the church cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
