W. D. Sheffield Dies; Rites Held In Montgomery

William D. Sheffield, 91, of Montgomery, died Sunday, June 23, 1968 in a local
nursing home.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Florence Sheffield, Montgomery; one sister,
Mrs. Betty Taylor, Evergreen, Alabama; two brothers, Talmadage Sheffield,
Mobile, Alabama and Martin Sheffield, Evergreen, Alabama; and two
grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church,
Montgomery, with burial in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.  Southern Funeral Home was
in charge.
