Talton Saturday Victim of Sudden Paralytic Stroke about 11 P.M. Thursday Funeral services for Arthur I. Talton, a well known citizen of Winnfield, who died suddenly of a paralytic stroke Thursday night, were held Saturday afternoon at four o'clock at the First Methodist Church where he was a member. Rev. G. A. Morgan, pastor, was assisted in the services by Rev. Alwin Stokes, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, and Dr. B. C. Land, pastor of the First Baptist church, and interment was made in the local cemetery. Mr. Talton was apparently in good health up until an hour or more before his death. He had attended his duties as engineer at the plant of the Gulf Public Service Company here all day Thursday. He was stricken about eleven o'clock Thursday night. Mr. Talton came to Winnfield several years from Dodson and has been a valued employee of the Gulf Public Service Company during his residence here. He is survived by his widow; three daughters, Mrs. Bill White, Mrs. Clyde Swanson and Miss Janice Talton; one son, Arthur Talton, Jr., all of Winnfield. Two brothers, Web Talton of Carlsbad, New Mexico; Bill Talton of Pine Bluff, Ark. One sister, Mrs. A.W. Radescich of Winnfield. Pall bearers at the funeral services were W. H. Jordan, James Jenkins, Chas. F. Walsworth, G. M. Walsworth, Bryant Sholars and Lawrence Donohoe.
