Terrill, 95, Dies After Long Illness Basil L. Terrill, 95, retired brick mason of Montgomery, and a member of the Mars Hill Baptist Church, died Friday, March 13, at his residence after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Mars Hill Church with the Rev. Clarence Brooks, the Rev. L. Sylvest, and the Rev. B. R. Shehorn officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Survivors are his widow; four sons, Willis Terrill of Kirbyville, Tex., Fred Terrill of Beaumont, Tex., Jesse Terrill of Bossier City, and Otho Terrill of West Monroe; two daughters, Mrs. Ola Dixon of Baton Rouge and Mrs. Loney Dixon of Montgomery; 25 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Loyd and Wilmer Dixon, Randy Wilbanks, John Williams, Arland and Ray Terrill, all grandsons of the deceased.
