J. J. Thompson Dies; Interment At Summerfield

Joseph James Thompson, 84, of Montgomery, died Wednesday, January 15, 1969.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Northside Baptist Church
with the Rev. Clarence Brooks officiating.  Burial was in Summerfield Cemetery
under direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Survivors are his widow; two sons, Johnny W. Thompson of Shreveport and Joseph
Thompson of Harrisonburg; two stepsons, Thomas Thompson of Pineville, and
William Brasher of Montgomery; four daughters, Mrs. Allie Graves of
Alexandria, Miss Margaret Thompson and Mrs. Ola Mae Lemoine, both of
Montgomery, and Mrs. Tommy Forman of Houston, Texas; 22 grandchildren and ten
great grandchildren.
