Terrill Is Buried Dec. 23 Near Ruston, La. Joel T. Terrill, 75, died Friday, December 22, 1961, at 5 a.m. in a Ruston hospital following a stroke. He had been in ill health for several years. A native of Ruston, Mr. Terrill resided in Winnfield from 1919 until 1940 and operated a barber shop here. He returned to Ruston where he was also employed in the barber trade until the time of his passing. He was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Ruston. Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Cooktown Baptist Church, with the Rev. Mr. Shirley, pastor of Temple Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Acting as pallbearers were Arnet Garriss, Vernon Ford, W. H. Kilpatrick, Jimmie Terrill, Bill Terrill, and W. E. TSwor. Mr. Terrill is survived by three daughters, Mrs. A. E. Garriss of Winnfield, Mrs. W. H. Kilpatrick of Jonesboro, and Mrs. W. E. Swor of Little Rock, Ark.; two sons, Wilson Terrill of Jonesboro and Harper Terrill of Winnfield; one sister, Mrs. Jim Riser of Ruston; two brothers, Charles and Marshall Terrill of Ruston; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
