Taylor, Sr., Ward Four Native, Dies Mrs. Lillie Burnum Taylor, widow of the late W. N. Taylor, Sr., died Tuesday afternoon, February 20, 1973, after an illness since last June. She would have been 86 years old on April 14, 1973. A native of Ward Four, Winn Parish, she was the daughter of the late William and Laura Burnum. Mrs. Taylor spent her entire life in Winn Parish and was a member of Siloam Baptist Church, Gansville. Last rites were under the direction of Southern Funeral Home, Winnfield, and were conducted at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 21, in the Siloam Baptist Church with Rev. Glyn Mixon officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Grandsons of the deceased acted as pallbearers. Surviving are seven sons and two daughters: Wilburn Taylor and William Taylor, Jr., of Shreveport; Louie Taylor, Hesley Taylor, Buford Taylor, all of Dodson; Edgar Taylor and Mrs. J. D. Frazier, West Monroe; Lonnie Taylor, New Orleans; Mrs. Delton Weeks, Goldonna; 25 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She also leaves four sisters, Mrs. G. C. Taylor and Mrs. Bertha Allen, Winnfield; Mrs. Jesse Temple, Dodson, and Mrs. Kate Brantley, of Lufkin, Texas.
