THE WINNFIELD-NEWS AMERICAN Friday, July 8, 1938 Funeral Services For Mrs. Marinda Temple Thursday 86 Year Old Woman Dies At Home of Her Daughter At Jonesboro Mrs. Marinda Temple, age 86, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. T. Walsworth at Jonesboro Wednesday night at ten o'clock following a short illness. She was know to her wide circle of friends as "Aunt Wren" for her active life and interest of affairs brought her in contact with both old and young. She was a member of the Midway Baptist church which she joined at an early age and remained faithful to its religious principals and teachings. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Temple in 1902. Funeral services were held at the Dodson Baptist church Thursday afternoon at four o'clock conducted by the Rev. J. T. Hinky of Hodge, the Rev. G. M Robinson and the Rev. W. A. Rodgers of Dodson. Interment following in the Transport cemetery near Dodson. Acting as pall bearers were her grandsons, B. A. Gentry, H. A. Gentry, Johnny Walsworth, Floyd Pepper, Judson Temple and Leo Hogan. She is survived by three sons, George Temple of Monroe, B. F. Temple and W. D. Temple Dodson, and one step-son, A. H. Temple of Anaheim, California; three daughters, Mrs. Fannie Hogan of Dodson and Mrs. E. H. Gentry and Mrs. J. T. Walsworth of Jonesboro.
