Burial with Masonic graveside rites will be in Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches, under direction of Broussard's Mortuary. Tannehill, 72, of Nederland died Friday, December 22, 2000 in St. Mary Hospital, Port Arthur. He was a native of Winnfield, La., and had resided in Nederland for 45 years. He was a retired supervisor for Gulf Oil, a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of Masonic Lodge No. 1368. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Tannehill of Nederland; one son, Richard Lafayette Tannehill of Humble; two daughters, Janet Tawney and Ellie Babineaux, both of Nederland; one sister, Louise Savage of Glenmora, La.; and six grandchildren. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Nederland.
