M. Tannehill, 82 years, one month and 10 days old, who died at his home here Wednesday morning at 7:30, after a month's illness, were held at the residence Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. The Rev. Alwin Stokes, pastor Presbyterian Church, had charge of the services. Interment was in the Winnfield Cemetery with the local Masonic Order in charge. The deceased was a lifelong resident of Winn Parish, having been born at the family home at Tannehill and being the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. David M. Tannehill. His first wife was Miss Harriet Long, to which union seven children were born, four of them now living. The deceased was prominent in Lodge circles, having held various offices in both the Masonic Lodge and the Eastern Star. He was a Master Mason. The surviving children are Mrs. H. M. Whitecotton, Cedar Grove; Mrs. Lela O'Laughlin, of El Dorado, Ark.; Mrs. V. M. Hale of Alexandria; and S. P. Tannehill of Shreveport. Six grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.
