M. Tannehill The funeral of Francis M. Tannehill, 72, of Winnfield, was held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Hixson Brothers Funeral Home chapel here with Dr. Calvin Phelps officiating. Burial followed in the Winnfield Cemetery. Mr. Tannehill died Thursday, August 24, 1978 in the VA Hospital in Kerrville, Texas after a lengthy illness. He was a native and former resident of Winnfield, a retired electrician and a veteran of World War II. Survivors include one brother, Murphy A. Tannehill of Urania; six sisters, Mrs. Q. T. Hardtner and Mrs. Nevin T. McKinney, both of Alexandria; Estelle Tannehill of Winnfield; Mrs. E. F. Fort of Beaumont, Texas; Mrs. Don Robbins of Hot Springs, Ark.; Mrs. R. P. Johnson of Lake Charles, and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers included Glen F. Tannehill, Don Walsh, Dr. Richard Tannehill, Harold McKinney, George Walsh, George Tannehill, Sr., Rev. Robert Johnson, and William M. Tannehill.
