Prentice J. Tannehill

Services for Prentice J. Tannehill were held at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel
of Hixson Brothers.  Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Tannehill, 68, of Metairie died at 8 a.m. Friday, November 27, 1981 in
Charlotte, N.C.

He was a native of Winn Parish, was formerly of Alexandria, employed by Armour
Packing Company.  He was a graduate of LSU in Baton Rouge.

Survivors include one son, Robert E. Tannehill of Houston; two daughters,
Betty Tannehill of New Orleans and Peggy West of Charlotte, N. C.; two
brothers, James M. Tannehill of Shreveport and William "Billy" Tannehill of
Urania; one sister, Norphlet Powers of Urania; his mother, Mrs. Clarence E.
Tannehill of Urania; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
