J. I. Taylor Succumbs at Sikes

Funeral services and burial were held Saturday at Sikes for J. I. Taylor, 80,
who died Friday at his home in Sikes after several weeks of illness.  W. S.
Emmons conducted the services.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife; two sons, Elmer Taylor of Sikes and Ira
Taylor of Chicago; one daughter, Mrs. Oliver M. Gates of Sikes; three sisters,
Mrs. C. E. Goodson and Mrs. Elma Straughan, both of Tehula, Miss.; and Mrs.
Mattie Moreland, of Natchitoches; one brother, M. C. Taylor of Indio,
California.

Mr. Taylor was a retired country school teacher.
