Taylor Succumbs; Rites Siloam Church Mrs. Bertie Talley Taylor of Dodson died Tuesday, November 9, 1971. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Siloam Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Smithart, pastor, in charge, assisted by the Rev. Louis Moffett and Rev. C. S. Cadwallader of Ruston. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Taylor was born near Slidell, La., but came to Winn Parish at age 13 years. She was a member of the Siloam Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Alice Moore of Dodson; one son, Neil Taylor of Dodson; six sisters, Mrs. Lena Taylor of Fresno, Calif., Mrs. Sadie Jones of Epps, Mrs. Olive Jones of West Monroe, Mrs. Carrie Carter of Orange, Texas, and Mrs. Nora Hays of Marshall, Texas, Leona Rodden of Monroe; five brothers, Wilton Talley of Epps, Norman Talley of Newellton, Melvin Talley of Calhoun, Gurvis Talley of Carthage, Texas, Jack Talley of Bordentown, N. J.; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
