Taylor Succumbs; Last Rites At Gansville Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 30, 1959 at 3 p.m. from Gansville Baptist Church, near Dodson, for Fred L. Taylor, age 76, who died Monday in a Jonesboro hospital, following a long illness. Rev. R. B. Kitchingham and Rev. A. D. Foster officiated. Interment was in the church cemetery under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home in Jonesboro. He is survived by two sons, C. Rayson Taylor, Dodson; Robert A. Taylor, Summerfield, La.; six sisters, Mrs. B. F. Fallin, Simsboro, Mrs. W. D. Temple, Dodson, Mrs. Ethel Walker, Dodson, Mrs. Ethel Walker, San Diego, Calif., Mrs. Winnie Gaggatt, Shreveport, Mrs. Vera Logan, Ft. Smith, Ark.; three brothers, Floyd Taylor, Dodson, Archie Taylor, Laurel, Miss., and Clyde Taylor, Ruston. Mr. Taylor was born in Bienville Parish but had lived in Winn almost all of his adult life. He was a lifetime member of Jonesboro Lodge No. 280, F. & A. M. and a deacon in the Gansville Church. Pallbearers were Buford Taylor, Arnold Temple, Floyd and Wilson Shively, C. H. Durbin, and Edd Lewis.
