Mrs. Taylor was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jule Waters, prominent residents of Dodson, and the widow of the late Clayton Taylor, who served in the capacity of deputy sheriff in Winn Parish for many years. Mrs. Taylor was an active member of the First Methodist Church. Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Violet Simmons of Monroe and Mrs. Lurlene Scott of Alexandria. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the First Methodist Church, Winnfield, with the Rev. J. C. Skinner and Rev. Charles Scott officiating. Burial was in Gansville Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Winnfield. Pallbearers were Tim Gaar, Julius Scott, Bill Scott, J. T. DeLoach, Neil Taylor, and Glen McIntosh.
