Taylor Held Mrs. Lula P. Taylor, 76, of Shady Grove Community near Sikes, died August 29, 1970 at 10 a.m. in Columbia Heights Hospital in Columbia, La. Mrs. Taylor was the last survivors of the Pace family and was the widow of the late Norvel Taylor, who preceded her in death by a year and a few days. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hebron Baptist Church, near Sikes, with Rev. Glenn Griffin and Rev. Bob Castle officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Survivors include two sons, Monroe Taylor of Bossier City, Dalton Taylor of Minden; three daughters, Mrs. Vaudine Crain of Columbia, Mrs. Ernestine Mercer, Natchitoches, Mrs. Billy Ford, Olla; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Acting as pallbearers were Clyde Herring, Rev. James Simons, C. M. Newsom, Hubert Adams, and Frank Adams.
