Taylor Dies At His Home Here Wednesday Well Known Barber Is Buried In Local Cemetery Death claimed Mr. S. J. Taylor at his home here Wednesday morning at eleven o'clock after several years of ill health. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Edna McDade Taylor, and three sons, Maurice Taylor, of Perry, Florida; Othel Taylor and Clyde Taylor, of Winnfield; a sister, Miss Laura Taylor, of Greenville, Mississippi, and two grandchildren, Harold and Annette Taylor of Perry, Florida. Mr. Taylor was born in Memphis, Tennessee, February 9, 1870. After moving to Winnfield from New Orleans 35 years ago, he followed the barber trade for many years until ill health prevented his working. He was a member of the Woodman of the World and was well known in Winn Parish. Funeral services were held at the Taylor residence Thursday morning at 10 o'clock with Rev. Alwin Stokes, Presbyterian minister, officiating. Interment was in the Winnfield Cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home. Acting as pallbearers were M. Lattier, Bob Smith, Charlie Ray, Bob Thomas, B. L. Anderson, and P. K. Abel. Those attending the funeral from out of town were Mrs. W. C. Anders and son, Herman, of Shreveport; Ruby Lamb of Perry, Fla.; Miss Dorothy Weeks of Goldonna; and Mrs. O. B. Bice of Bossier City, La.
