All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: February 10, 1939 Winn Parish Enterprise Funeral Rites Are Held For Man Found Dead Near Here Acting on the instructions from a sister, who resides in Atlanta, Ga., the remains of William Isaac Taylor were buried in a free lot of the Winnfield Cemetery Friday afternoon at two o'clock, with Rev. G. A. Morgan officiating. The skeleton identified as that of one William Isaac Taylor by papers found in his belongings was found by three loggers about three hundred yards off the Winnfield-Natchitoches highway three miles from town on Wednesday, January 25. Disposition of the remains was held in abeyance until instructions were received from the relatives that were finally located in Atlanta, Ga., and in the meantime were held by the Walsh Funeral Home here. Sheriff Sholars stated that the letter from the dead man's sister stated that later she expects to remove the remains to Atlanta.
