Teagle Life Long Citizen Of Winn Ph. Dies Succumbs to Short Illness at His Home In St. Maurice, La. Wm. N. Teagle died at his home in St. Maurice, Louisiana, Monday evening July 25, 1927, at 9:30 o'clock, after a short illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Baptist Church, Rev. Anderson, pastor of Colfax Baptist Church, officiating, and the body was laid to rest in the St. Maurice Cemetery immediately afterwards. William Nathaniel Teagle was born on a farm five miles West of Winnfield, May 26, 1866, and died at the age of 61 years, 1 month, and 29 days, after spending his entire life in Winn Parish. Early in life he united with the Baptist Church and lived a true Christian life. On December 31, 1896, he was united in marriage to Miss Nannie E. Graham, also a resident of Winn Parish. W. N. Teagle was an enterprising business man, engaging in the Mercantile business since his early young manhood. He was held in high esteem in the community, in which he lived this being made manifest by a host of friends being present for the funeral services, also a large number of colored people gathered around to view the last of his earthly remains. He is survived by his widow, his father, three brothers, three sisters, and a large number of friends through out the parish to mourn his passing. Attending the funeral from Winnfield were J. G. Teagle and family, W. R. Horton and family, J. A. Graham, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Allen, Mrs. M. M. Fisher, and C. F. Walsworth.
