Teagle Set For Thursday Last rites for Miss Katie Teagle, 87, who died at 2:35 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, in a Winnfield hospital were set for Thursday, June 27, at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home, Dr. W. L. Holcomb, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will take place in the Bolton-Teagle family cemetery near Winnfield. Named as pallbearers were Ed Grigsby, Robert Heard, Francis Walker, E. J. Buchanan, Max Crowe, Harper Terrill, Jesse Thornton, Lester Walker, and Leo Shelton. A life-long resident of Winnfield, Miss Teagle was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John G. Teagle, prominent pioneer residents of this area. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a charter member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. W. R. Horton, Winnfield; two nieces, Mrs. W. D. Simmons, Winnfield, and Mrs. C. R. McBride of Columbus, Montana; five nephews, Raphiel Teagle, Baton Rouge, O. C. Teagle, Bryan, Texas, W. R. Horton, Pensacola, Florida., John L. Horton, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and Edward T. Horton, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
