H. Teal Dies At Grant Parish Home Capt. Charles H. Teal, one of the oldest and most prominent citizens of Grant Parish, died at his home in Colfax, Wednesday, following an attack with which he was seized Tuesday night during the celebration of his golden wedding anniversary. Captain Teal had been prominent in the affairs of Grant Parish and central Louisiana for many years. He was a political leader and filled various positions of trust and honor, among them sheriff of Grant Parish, state senator, and member of the board of administrators of the Central Louisiana Hospital for Insane. Captain Teal was married October 27, 1875 to Miss Nora LaCour of Grant Parish and to the union two daughters were born, one of whom, Mrs. W. C. LaCroix, with her mother, survives him. He also leaves a granddaughter and one grandson. The funeral was held at Colfax Thursday morning, according to the rites of the Catholic Church. Services were conducted Rev. Father C. I. Neudling of Alexandria.
