All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: July 15, 1954 Winn Parish Enterprise Funeral Services For Cora Teddlie Held Wednesday Funeral services for Miss Cora Teddlie, who died late Monday night in a nursing home in Mansfield, were held here Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at the Jerusalem Baptist Church followed by interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Earnest Evans conducted the services. Daughter of the late William James Teddlie and Lucy Ann Page Teddlie, one of Winn Parish's pioneer families, Miss Teddlie was born on September 23, 1875. She resided in Winnfield during her childhood and young womanhood and also in later years she made her home here with her brother, the late John W. Teddlie and family. She is the last of a family of six children. A nurse by profession, she made Shreveport her home for many years, where she was employed. Failing health caused her retirement several years ago. Her first church membership was with Jerusalem Baptist Church, later transferring to First Baptist Church of Shreveport. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews in north Louisiana, among them Mrs. Enid Nugent, Miss Lowice Teddlie, and John W. Teddlie of Winnfield. Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased and included E. C. Jackson, R. E. Jackson, J. A. Jackson, J. E. Jackson, and Johnny Jackson of Hargis, and John W. Teddlie of Winnfield. Out of town relatives and friends attending the funeral here on Wednesday were Miss Clara Curry, Houston, Texas, Mrs. A. M. Davis, Miss Ruby Teddlie of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Pollard Harrison, Montgomery, Mrs. Roland Vercher and Mrs. Myrtle Vercher, Natchitoches, Mrs. Allen Ragan, Clarence, Miss Francis Alredge, Natchitoches, Mrs. J. E. Jackson, and Mrs. Earl E. Jackson, Hargis.
