Teddlie Dies Tuesday At His Home Former School Board Member Had Been Ill Several Months A. C. Teddlie, 77 years of age, died at his home at Ebenezer, Ward Five, Christmas morning at 2 o'clock, following an illness of several months. Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist Church in Montgomery, Wednesday morning, with the Rev. J. W. Lee, pastor in charge. Interment was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Mr. Teddlie had served as school board member from Ward Vie on the parish board for the past eight years. Due to his bad health he was not a candidate for re-election for this position last fall. At one time he was a member of the Winn Parish Police Jury. In former years while residing in Grant Parish he served as a member of one of the official boards in that parish. Mr. Teddlie was born in Winn parish, October 23, 1857. He was reared in this section and was married to Miss Nena McCain, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. M. McCain of Montgomery. He was prominently known in both Winn and Grant Parishes. Besides his wife he is survived by two sons and seven daughters: Murphy Foster Teddlie, assistant superintendent of American Sugar Refinery of Baltmore, Md.; Eugene Teddlie of Mansfield, traveling superintendent of the Standard Oil Company Pipe Line department; Mrs. Loyd Harrison, Montgomery; Mrs. Van Woodward, Natchitoches; Mrs. Roy Wilson and Mrs. Lorene Alsup, Shreveport; Mrs. Vernon Rich, Greenwood, and Misses Kathleen and Margaret Teddlie of Montgomery. Two brothers and two sisters also survive. The are Mrs. Emma Dean, Winnfield, Mrs. M. E. O'Neal of Verda, Mrs. B. F. Teddlie of Oakdale, and Mrs. Lee Teddlie of Buffalo, Texas. Pallbearers were D. E. Sikes, Dr. E. E. Webb, Sim Spikes, Willard Kilpatrick, Ed McGinty, O. N. Wardlow, Felix Wardlow, Jim Wardlow, Wilmot McCain, Pollard Harrison, Cyrus McGinty, Weyman Dyson, Irvin Dyson, and members of the Winn Parish School Board.
