Mrs. Alice Teddlie, 95, Succumbed Dec. 24th At Hargis, La.

Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Teddlie, 95, who died at her home in the
Hargis Community December 24, 1946, were conducted at the Mars Hill Church at
2 p. m. December 25, with the Rev. L. C. Crain of Grayson officiating. 
Interment was in the Mars HillCemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral
Home.

Born in Jackson Parish Feb. 16, 1852, she was married to Ace Teddlie January
26, 1871, and lived in Winn Parish until 1903, when she moved to the Hargis
Community, Grant Parish, where she lived until her death.  She was the mother
of ten children and a member of the Mars Hill Baptist Church.  Injuries,
sustained in a fall, confined her to her bed for six years before her death.

Surviving are six daughters and one son, Mrs. D. P. Martin, of Winnfield; Mrs.
W. J. Bice, Calvin; Mrs. C. E. Worsham, Mrs. Hettie Drewett, Misses Ada and
Addie Teddlie and Monroe Teddlie of Rt. 1 Montgomery.  She also leaves 21
grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren.

Active pallbearers, grandsons of the deceased, were: Herman Worsham, Arnold
Bice, Ardian Teddlie, Oswald Teddlie, Thurman Drewett, and Lester Teddlie.

Last Rites Held For 94 Year Old Hargis Resident

Funeral services were held Dec. 25 at Mars Hill Church for Mrs. Alice Teddlie,
94 year old resident of the Hargis Community, near Montgomery.  Rev. L. C.
Crane of Grayson officiated and interment was in the Mars Hill Cemetery under
the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased:  Herman Worsham, Arnold
Bice, Ardian Teddlie, Oswald Teddlie, Thurman Drewett, and Lester Teddlie.

Mrs. Teddlie was born in Jackson Parish, February 16, 1852 and married Ace
Teddlie in 1871.  They lived in Winn Parish until 1903 when they moved to the
Hargis Community in Grant Parish.  There she remained until her death.

Mrs. Teddlie was preceded in death by her husband and three of her children.
Surviving are her children:  Mrs. D. P. Martin of Winnfield, Mrs. W. J. Bice
of Calvin, Mrs. C. E. Worsham, Monroe Teddlie, Mrs. Hattie Drewett, Misses Ada
and Addie Teddlie of Montgomery.  She also leaves 21 grandchildren and 43
great grandchildren.
