Monroe Teagle Claimed By Death Tuesday Morning Funeral Services Wednesday P. M., Interment In Teagle Cemetery James Monroe Teagle, a member of one of the oldest families of this section, died suddenly Tuesday morning at his home here from a heart attack caused by high blood pressure. He had been working around the house clearing up shrubs and trees for several days and it is believed that the overexertion was the immediate cause of his passing. The deceased was born in Winn Parish, son of the late John G. Teagle and Martha Ann Bolton Teagle. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Winnfield which he joined at the early of age of __. Funeral services were held at the family residence here Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock conducted by Dr. B. C. Land, pastor of the First Baptist Church and Rev. G. A. Morgan, pastor of First Methodist Church. Interment was in the Teagle Cemetery under the direction of the Walsh Funeral Directors. Active pallbearers were Bryant Sholars, C. F. Walsworth, Walter W. Allen, Kenneth Watts, A. A. Moss, J. M. Wright, D. E. Sikes, and B. L. Anderson. Surviving relatives are two brothers, Dr. O. C. Teagle of Campti, J. O. Teagle, and three sisters, Misses Kate and Helen Teagle and Mrs. W. R. Horton, Winnfield.
