C. Temple, 69, Held Tues., Apr.2 Monday morning at 2:30 a.m. Mrs. G. C. Temple, 69, of the Cypress Creek Community passed away at a Winnfield hospital. She had been ill for several years with arthritis but contracted pneumonia during last week. Mrs. Temple was the former Hallie Jones, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Jones, prominent farmers of the Cypress Creek Community. She was born there on December 29, 1888 and she and Mr. Temple were united in marriage on December 22, 1910. Funeral services were held at the Cypress Creek Baptist Church of which she was a member, at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Waynon Mott, of Bunkie, Rev. Clyde Parker of Gaars Mill and Rev. Louis B. Williams of Atlanta officiating. Interment was in the Cypress Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers were nephews, Charles Ed Jones, Durwood Jones, Weyman Jones, Rodger Jones, Olin Jones, and Ellis Wayne Jones. Survivors are the husband, G. C. Temple of Cypress Creek; two daughters, Mrs. Roy Walker and Mrs. Earl Jones, Dodson; three sons, Odell of Goldonna, G. C., Jr. of Greenville, Miss., and Billy of Dodson; three brothers, Austin Jones of Dodson, Odis Jones of Montgomery, and Dayton Jones of Calvin; and 11 grandchildren.
