John Terrel, Age 84, of Dodson Dies Suddenly Tuesday

Suffers Stroke Early in Day.  Funeral Services Held Wednesday Afternoon

John Terrel, age 84, and for many years a resident of Dodson, died suddenly
Tuesday afternoon following a paralytic stroke suffered earlier in the day. 
He was known by a wide circle of friends throughout the parish as "Uncle John"
and his passing will be mourned by the entire community.

As long as health permitted him he engaged in farming and was considered one
of the most successful in Winn Parish.  He was twice married, his two wives
preceding him in death.  He is survived by two children, W. S. Terrel, Dodson
business man, and Mrs. W. A. Murphy also of Dodson.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Transport Cemetery, where
interment was made, conducted by the Rev. John L. Dodge of Jonesboro.
