All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: January 4, 1934 Winn Parish Enterprise John Terral, 84 Years, Dies From Paralysis Stroke Prominent Farmer of Winn Parish Succumbs At His Home John Terral, 84 years old resident of Dodson, died at his home Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, following a paralysis stroke which he suffered Tuesday morning at 7 o'clock while he was feeding his stock. He never regained consciousness after the stroke. John Terral was born in Mississippi. His parents moved to Dodson community when he was a small boy and he lived there since. He played an important part in the political and economical life of the community and was considered one of the most prosperous farmers in this section. He was always able to finance his crop each year without assistance and was one of the few able to "hold his cotton." He is survived by one daughter and one son, Mrs. W. A. Terral and W. S. Terral, both of Dodson, three sons, two daughters, and a wife preceded him in death. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Transport Church with interment in the Transport Cemetery. The Rev. John L. Dodge of Jonesboro had charge of the services.
