Terrell, aged 67, prosperous farmer and prominent citizen of the Dodson community, died Tuesday afternoon, August 28th at 2:30 o'clock. Although the deceased had been in ill health for more than two years his condition was not considered serious until a few days before his death. Mr. Terral was a native of Louisiana. Early in life he became a Christian uniting with the Baptist Church and remained a loyal, consistent member until claimed by death. Besides his wife he leaves two sons, A. L. and J. D. Terrell of Dodson; four daughters, Miss Verda Terrell and Mrs. E. F. Barnette, of Iuka, Miss., Mrs. Ira A. Adams of Leaton, Ala., Mrs. W. S. Adams and Mrs. Finley Craddock of Cherokee, Ala., three brothers, John, J. R., and W. B. Terrell, and two sisters, Mrs. A. B. Anders and Miss Lucy Terrell, all of Dodson. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. T. Strain of Simsboro and the remains were interred in the Transport Cemetery at noon Wednesday, August 29, in the presence of a large crowd of sorrowing friends and relatives. Dr. and Mrs. Ira A. Adams and Miss Verda Terrell of Leaton, Alabama, Mrs. and Mrs. W. S. Adams of Cherokee, Ala., and Mrs. E. F. Brantley of Iuka, Miss., were among the out of town relatives who attended the funeral.
