All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: December 4, 1947 Winn Parish Enterprise Accident Claims Life of Four Year Old Travis Terral Travis Terral, four year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Silford Terral of Jonesboro, formerly of Winnfield and Dodson, died in a Hodge clinic Wednesday of last week at 2:55 p.m. from injuries incurred in a fall from a car when the door came open and he fell to the pavement. The accident occurred Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. while the family was enroute from Dodson to Jonesboro. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, November 27, 1947, at the Dodson Methodist Church, with the pastor, Rev. W. W. Lantrip, in charge. He was assisted by Rev. McKnight, Methodist minister, and Rev. J. W. Buckner, Baptist minister, both of Jonesboro. Burial was in the Transport Cemetery. Acting as pallbearers were three uncles of the child, B. F. Hamilton, Joe Mixon, and Meredith House, and Sonny Frickie, Clayton Norred, and James Vines. Surviving are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Silford Terral (Geraldine Bossier), and one brother, Steve of Jonesboro; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Bossier of Winnfield, paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Terral of Dodson, and a number of aunts and uncles.
