Mrs. R. Thompson, Sikes Native; Dies In Monroe

Funeral services for Mrs. Ray Thompson, 35, of Monroe, were held at 2 p.m.
Thursday, May 28, at Sharon Baptist Church at Sikes with the Rev. Edward Smith
and the Rev. Kenneth Wall officiating.  Burial was in Sharon Cemetery.

Mrs. Thompson died Tuesday in a Monroe hospital after a brief illness.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Chester Thompson and Douglas
Thompson; four daughters, Miss Helen Thompson, Miss June Thompson, Miss
Dorothy Thompson, and Miss Ruth Thompson, all of Monroe; and her mother, Mrs.
Mandy Sowers of Sikes.
