Services were held at the First Methodist Church of Winnfield. Officiating was the Rev. Grayson B. Watson of Noel Methodist Church, assisted by the Rev. Byrd Terry, pastor of Winnfield First Methodist Church. Burial followed at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield, under the direction of Southern. Mrs. Thompson has been a resident of the Glen-Stiles Apartments for two years. She was the daughter of Winn Parish pioneers Eloise Jeanette Carlson and Clarence Ferdinand McAnally. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Parker Thompson, her twin sister, Wallace Well, and sister, Madge Polley. They were the do-owners of Parker Thompson Wholesale Grocery. She is survived by two daughters, Jean Thompson Morn and her husband, Charles, Jane Thompson Peterson and her husband Douglas, all of Bossier City; seven grandchildren, John Morn and wife Donna of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Charles Morn and wife Elizabeth of Atlanta, GA, Kathy Peterson Adams and her husband Jim of Dallas, the Rev. Mary Katherine Morn and her husband, Dr. John Rakestraw of Macort, GA, Douglas Peterson, Jr. and his wife Lindy of Houston, TX, Dr. John Andrew Peterson and his wife Janet of St. Petersburg, FL, and Mary Ann Sikes and her husband David of Bossier City. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren. Pallbearers were John Morn, Charles Morn, Douglas Peterson, Jr., Andrew Peterson, Jim Adams, and David Sikes.
