Mrs. Thigpen Dies; Rites At Hebron Church

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Etta Thigpen at Hebron Baptist Church,
August 11, Monday at 10 a.m.

Rev. Virgil Jones of Grayson and Rev. Tom Parker officiated.

Mrs. Thigpen died at her home Saturday, August 9, 1969, around 8 o'clock after
a lingering illness.

Mrs. Thigpen was a lifelong resident at the Hebron community and a member of
Hebron Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, W. I. Thigpen; two sons, Belvin of Sikes and
Archie of Bentley; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two
sisters, Mrs. Carrie Gregory of Grayson, brother, Hobson Myers of Grayson,
Payton Myers, and Homer Myers.

Pallbearers were nephews.
