C. Thompson, Former Tremont Employee, Dies James Clifford Thompson, 64, bookkeeper of Baton Rouge, died at 3 p.m. Monday, May 19, 1969, in a Baton Rouge hospital after a long illness. The deceased was a native of Rochelle and for many years was a resident of Joyce where he was employed by Tremont Lumber Company. He was a member of the First Methodist Church. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hixson Brothers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Walton officiating. Interment, under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, was in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Eunice H. Thompson of Baton Rouge; four sons, Kenneth Ray Thompson, Natchez, Miss., Clifford E. Thompson, Baton Rouge, James M. Thompson, Jackson, Ala., Thomas E. Thompson, Bryan, Texas; one brother, V. A. Thompson, Lake Charles, La.; three sisters, Mrs. Maurice Ferris, Oak Grove, Mrs. Will Rogers, Oak Grove, and Mrs. Bob Elliott of El Dorado, Ark.
