Last Rites For L. J. Thomas Held Here Saturday

Larkin James Thomas, 71, died Thursday, May 7, at his residence in Winnfield
after a long illness.  He was a retired millwright.

Survivors include one son, James Thomas of Winnfield; three daughters, Mrs. M.
J. Barr of Dubach, Mrs. H. O. Pollan of Tyler, Texas, and Mrs. E. C. Perkins
of Bangor, Maine; one brother, N. M. Thomas of Ruston; two sisters, Mrs. J. S.
Brooks of Monroe and Mrs. E. F. Thrift of North Hodge; and eleven
grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the First Presbyterian
Church in Winnfield with Rev. W. R. Gage officiating.  Interment was in the
Garden of Memories Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.
