Officiating was Rev. Grayson Watson, Pastor, assisted by Rev. Keith Hill, Pastor of Winnfield Presbyterian Church. Burial was in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Winnfield, under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. He died at 3:00 a.m. Friday, December 18, at Bossier Medical Center. Mr. Thompson was a native of Junction City, La., and the former owner of Parker Thompson Wholesale Grocery Co., and Thompson Apiaries of Winnfield and was a founder and former president of Winn State Bank and Trust Co. Survivors include his wife, Hollace Thompson; two daughters, Jane T. Peterson and Jean T. Morn, both of Bossier City; one sister, Ester Hutson; one brother, G. E. Thompson, both of Shreveport; and seven grandchildren. Pallbearers were Don Thompson, Benton (nephew), John D. Walker, Winnfield; Frank Entrekin, Jr., Winnfield; Norman Smith, Winnfield; Matt Milam III, Winnfield (grand nephew), and Fred Wemple, Benton. Honorary pallbearers were members, board of directors of Winn State Bank and Trust Co.
