Funeral Services Friday For Mrs. Alma Thornton

Funeral services are to be held Friday at 2 p.m. for Mrs. Alma Katherine
Thornton, 74.  She died Thursday in a Pineville hospital.

Services will be at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Willie James
officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery under direction of
Southern Funeral Home.

Mrs. Thornton was born May 6, 1883 in the Gaars Mill Community.  She is
survived by three sons, James Thornton of Alexandria, Hilton Thornton of
Houston, Texas, and Harold Thornton of Indiana; one daughter, Mrs. Simon C.
Huffman of Alaska; 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, two brothers, J.
W. Sikes of Dodson and I. W. Sikes of Houston, Texas; an done sister, Mrs. A.
L. Thompson of Jena.
