Allen Killed In Wreck Cars Collide Near Morrow Monday P. M. The negro chauffeur of O. K. Allen, Jr., son of the late Governor, died instantly and the driver of another automobile was badly injured Monday afternoon, when the two cars collided near Morrow, La., 15 miles southeast of Bunkie. The Allens, now living in Shreveport, were in New Orleans at the time of the accident. At the time it was thought that they were in the wrecked automobile because the baby bottle and other objects of the family were found on the scene. Eddie Thomas, the chauffeur, was on his way from New Orleans to Shreveport. he was carrying the luggage of the family, who were coming home later. Mark W. Mitchell of Dallas, Texas, sole occupant of the other car, sustained a broken leg, concussion of the brain, and cuts about the head. He was placed in the Bunkie clinic and later moved to Baton Rouge. Mr. and Mrs. Allen left Shreveport to take their one year old child away from the infantile paralysis quarantine. They were visiting Mrs. Allen's father, Dr. P. Jorda Kahle, in New Orleans. Monday, they decided to return to their home but later changed their minds and sent the negro chauffeur on in a separate car.
