Mrs. E. Thompson Dies; Burial At Mt. Zion Cemetery

Mrs. Ella H. Thompson, 79, died at 7:20 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, in an
Alexandria hospital after a long illness.

She was a native and resident of Montgomery.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Mt. Zion Methodist
Church near Montgomery with Rev. Larry Elliott, Rev. Clarence Brooks, and Rev.
Lula Wardlow officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery under the
direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Survivors are three sons, Eugene Thompson of Farmington, N. M., Alton Thompson
of Montgomery, and Arles Thompson of Pineville; four daughters, Mrs. Bertha
Stroud of Shreveport, Miss Tommie Thompson of Gulfport, Miss., Mrs. Doris
Lonigro (Longino?; Lonadier?) of Natchez, Miss., and Mrs. Jarrel Skains of
Montgomery; 16 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
