Mrs. Onie Thompson Dies At Her Home At Sikes Tuesday

Mrs. Onie Thompson, age 42, died at her home at Sikes Tuesday night following
a lingering illness of more than a year.  Funeral services were held Wednesday
afternoon at five o'clock at Hurricane Grove Church conducted by Rev. Joe
Adams and interment was made in the church cemetery.

The deceased was a member of the Hurricane Grove Baptist Church.  She was the
widow of the late Chester Thompson of Sikes, and is survived by eight
children, Mrs. Arnold Walker, Hester, Ray, Charles, Herman, Arnold, Georgia
May, all of Sikes, and Virgie Thompson of Shreveport; father, Jim Abrams,
Sikes; two brothers, Charles Abrams of Sikes and Ira Abram, Shreveport, one
sister.

Mrs. W. J. Walker and Mrs. J. C. Thompson, relatives of the deceased attended
the funeral Wednesday afternoon.
