Mrs. Thornton Dies: Rites Held Monday

Mrs. Mabel Thornton, 71, of Urania, died at 4 p.m. Saturday, December 25, 1976
in Hardtner Medical Center.

Survivors include her husband, Willie Mixson Thornton of Urania; seven sons,
Billy Thornton, Joe Thornton, W. M. Thornton, Melvin Thornton, and Randy
Thornton, all of Urania, Bobby Thornton of Columbia, Miss., and Norman
Thornton of Tullos; one daughter, Mrs. Herman Schultz of Urania; 11
grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church in Urania with
Rev. Doris Dearman and Jack Bacum officiating.  Burial was in Pine Hill
Cemetery.
