Former Gaars Mill Man Dies In Houston, Tex.

Hilton Thornton, who was born and reared in the Gaars Mill Community, died
June 6 in Houston, Texas.  He was 65 and was a retired paper mill company
employee.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Syble Thornton; two sons, Chester E. and Donald
L. Thornton; four daughters, Mrs. W. B. Warren, Mrs. J. M. Norred, Mrs. A. P.
Lovett, Jr., and Mrs. Linda Thorne, all of Houston; two brothers, Hansford
Thornton of Louisiana and Harold Thornton of Alabama; one sister, Mrs. Mary
Ellen Huffman of Alaska; 14 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
