Mrs. William Thorpe, 28, Dies in Shreveport Sanitarium Mrs. William Thorpe, age 28 years, who was fatally burned at her home in Dodson early Wednesday morning, died in a Shreveport sanitarium Friday afternoon and was brought to Winnfield for burial Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Thorpe was alone in the house when she received the burns which caused her death, it is said. She is said to have fallen into the fireplace while dressing Wednesday morning. Her husband, who was outside at the time, supposed that she must have fainted as she was lying partly in the fire when he discovered her body. Friends rushed Mrs. Thorpe to a Shreveport sanitarium for treatment, but doctors were unable to save her, death occurring Friday afternoon. Mrs. Thorpe is survived by her husband, William Thorpe of Dodson, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Couch of Winnfield.
