Funeral Rites Held For J. R. Thompson

John Ruskin Thompson, 66, of St. Maurice, died Tuesday, January 24, 1967 at 11
a.m. at his home after a brief illness.

Funeral rites were held at the St. Maurice Methodist Church at 3:30 p.m.
Wednesday.  Burial was in the St. Maurice Cemetery.

Mr. Thompson was a retired fisherman and was born at LaMarque County, Texas.

Survivors include a daugther, one son, two sisters and two brothers, and four
grandchildren.
