Youth Enroute to His Home Here Dies In Texas

Roy L. Thomas, Son of Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Thomas Buried Tuesday

Funeral services for Roy L. Thomas, 26, who died at Breckenridge, Texas,
Friday, while enroute home from California, were held from the First Baptist
Church here Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock.  Rev. Alwin Stokes, Presbyterian
minister, officiated.  Interment was made in the Gorham Cemetery, two miles
east of here.

The deceased, a son of Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Thomas of Winnfield, fell from a
tree while at work in California several weeks ago.  After his discharge from
the hospital he started home and became ill enroute and died in Breckenridge,
Texas, Friday, September 22.

Survivors are the parents; three brothers, Elvin, Archie, and Houston Thomas;
four sisters, Hazel, Nadine, Lois, and Ruby Thomas, all of whom reside in
Winnfield.
