Y. R. Thomas, 79, Of Sikes Dies

Y. R. Thomas, 79, former resident of the Fellowship Community near Sikes, died
unexpectedly at 6 a.m. Thursday at a nursing home in Wyatt.

Funeral arrangements will be announced from the Southern Funeral Home in
Winnfield where the body has been taken.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. William J. Higdon, Winnfield, and Mrs.
E. N. Curry, Sikes; four sons, George Thomas, Norfolk, Va., John Thomas,
Alaska, Ed Thomas, Chatham, and Gene Thomas of West Monroe; nine grandchildren
and four great grandchildren.

Mr. Thomas was a retired farmer.
