Last Rites Held For Anna Thomas Sunday

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock for Mrs. Anna Thomas
of the Fellowship Community, near Sikes, who passed away on March 6, at her
home.  Mrs. Young (?) was born on April 29, 1886 in Alabama.  She was 66 years
old at the time of her death.  The deceased was a member of the Baptist
Church.

Rev. W. S. Emmons officiated at the last rites, which were held in the Midway
Baptist Church in Jackson Parish.  Interment was in the Midway Cemetery under
the direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Survivors include four sons, George Thomas of North Carolina, John Thomas of
Fort Worth, Texas, Eugene and Edgar Thomas of Sikes, two daughters, Mrs. Ila
May Higdon and Mrs. Joy Belle Curry of Sikes, and eight grandchildren.
